CustomTable for WP – Introduction

Hello everyone!

In this video, we’ll learn how to create a database table using the CustomTables plugin for WordPress.

This powerful plugin allows you to easily add tables to your WordPress site without any coding knowledge.

Step 1: Create a New Table

After installing and activating the CustomTables plugin, navigate to the plugin’s dashboard page by going to CustomTables > Dashboard. Then go to Tables.

Here, you’ll see the option to add a new table. Let’s create a simple “Contact Form” table for this example.

Step 2: Add Table Fields

Once you’ve named your table, you can start adding fields.

Click on the “0 Field” button in the “Fields” column to see the list of fields our new table has.

For our “Contact Form” table, we’ll add four fields:

  • Name
  • Phone
  • Address
  • Email

Simply click the “Add Field” button and enter the field name for each one.

You can also adjust the field length or select the field type.

Step 3: Add the Table to a Page

Now that our table is set up, it’s time to add it to a page on our WordPress site.

Create a new page or edit an existing one, and look for the “CustomTables” block in the editor.

Click the “Plus” icon to add a new block, search for “CustomTables Block” and insert it into the page.

Step 4: Edit the Block

Once the CustomTables block is added, you’ll see a sidebar and dropdown menu to select the output type and the table you want to display.

Choose the type “Edit Form” and the table “Contact Form” – the one we just created.

The preview will be immediately available.

Step 5: Preview on the Front-end

After saving or publishing the page, you can preview how the form looks on the front-end of your WordPress site.

Visit the page where you added the CustomTables block, and you should see the “Contact Form” table with the fields you created earlier.

And that’s it!

With just a few clicks, you’ve created a new contact form using the CustomTables plugin for WordPress.

This plugin makes it incredibly easy to add forms and catalog tables to your site without any coding knowledge.
